"Always wanted to check Sports Clips out. Finally got a chance after getting a coupon at the Rogers Parade in 2018. Great experience. Nice stylists. Clean atmosphere. And the MVP Experience is great. Cant afford a spa day? Just get the MVP Experience...neck massage, hot towel, vibrating massage chair, herbal face stuff and hair gel. And all for much less $$ than a spa day...lol. I'll be back."

"This location just opened for business this past month and sat finished and unopened for months. I am not sure what the root cause for this was, but I understand from other hair stylists that work in our community that there is a shortage of qualified stylists. Sports Clips in Rogers, MN is small and is situated as in a tiny strip mall that has only a handful of parking spots. This will surely create a parking nightmare during "prime time" on a Saturday morning. The interior waiting area was clean and there was a nice sized flat screen television (only one flat screen - not three) with a baseball game playing. Its too bad I cannot comment on the stylist areas since I was never called up for my free Varsity Haircut; keep reading... I tried to get in to redeem a coupon that I received in the mail for a "free" Varsity Haircut. This was at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday. I made it known I was using my free coupon when I checked in. That was a big mistake! I waited an hour after being told it would be a 40 minute wait and I ended up walking out after customers who checked in after me were being taken care of. The stylists looked disinterested and worked very slow... (add a few more "very's" in there). My Advice to Sports Clips in Rogers, MN - you are going to need to aim higher if you are going to make it. I am heading over to Fantastic Sam's next door where at least my existence is acknowledged and who will let me use your grand opening coupon for $5 off a real haircut done after a reasonable wait of 10 minutes. My advice to Sports Clips the Franchisor: First, revise your advertisement to show that you employ slow and disinterested stylists since that is the reality and it looks like you are doing a bait and switch when us customers watch your commercials and then go to one of your franchised locations. Its enough to make me want to walk out (seriously). As an alternative to this guidance and since there does appear to be a shortage of stylists... I think you should start a geographic hub based recruitment and stylist training centers and recruit the stylists who align to the look, work ethic and personality that you have in your current advertising campaigns and teach them how to style men's hair and get them their state license. You then place can place these newly trained stylists in your franchised centers and charge your franchisors a recruitment and training fee to cover your costs. The result will be your Sports Clips stores will be staffed with enough stylists to meet the demand you are creating (ex: Eight to Ten stylists on a Saturday instead of One or Two) and your business model then becomes viable and you get to avoid single star reviews such as this. Also, for new locations such as Rogers, MN - you will have staff to open them instead of having the finished store sit empty for four months due to a shortage of stylists (as what happened in Rogers, MN). The Final Outcome Will Be: All problems solved... viola!"

"The owner Mike keeps this place very well kept! I walk in & I always get a plesent smile from all of the ladies working there! As all of the ladies are great at what they do, I do love going to Wendy. The reason I do is because I built a personal connection with her & can start up the conversation the next time I come in from where we left off. She does a very well job with making sure your hair looks amazing at the end! I used to be a "Fantastic Sam's" guy, but I'm never turning back. I'm a Sports Clips fan now!! Keep up the great work!"
